The Congregation was formed many years ago by German immigrants who with businesses in Carlsbad. It met irregularly in people's houses since then until acquiring a synagogue in 2002. The building, shown above, was an abandoned Seventh Day Adventist church and has undergone extensive repairs and remodeling.

The Congregation meets every Shabbat. Hebrew lessons are conducted for members of the shul, plus a number of non-Jews who love the religion, the language and Israel.
