Parents of I.E. and Adolph Solomon (Adolph Solomon, center);  Isador Elkan Solomon was born in Posen (Poznan), Poland, 1841. At eighteen he immigrated to the U.S. and settled with an uncle in Towanda, Pennsylvania. Some years later he returned to Europe and married Louis Freudenthal's daughter, Anna
