Scholars and students of American Jewish history will convene in Charleston, South Carolina, June 5–7, 2006, to explore new developments in this burgeoning field. The conference program, registration form, and accommodations information all are now available online.

Judah Aaron Kaufman
Edward Hersh submitted an entry and photo of Judah Aaron Kaufman in February 2006. Judah Kaufamn owned several stores and properties in Tucson, including his original store which was located at 86 South Meyer Street. He was active in Tucson's Congregation Anshei Israel where served as congregation President. At the time of his death he was a Vice President.
