1965 Visited ancestral Soza Ranch homestead, Redington, Arizona. Inspired to learn more about the family.

1970 John Charles Fremont House Museum, Tucson. Sought to have it named in honor of Jose Maria Sosa 111.

1972 Dedication of the John Charles Fremont / Casa del Gobernador. Mrs. Richard M. Nixon was honored guest.

1973 Named to Tucson Heritage Foundation Board of Directors.

1975 John Charles Fremont House deeded to State of Arizona.
Soza Room at John Charles Fremont Museum dedication.

1975 Received Al Merito Award from the Arizona Historical Society for service to the cause of Arizona history.

1975 First Soza Family Reunion - Tucson - 250 attended.
Guests Gov. Raul Castro, Mayor Murphy, Bishop Green.

1982 Plaza of the Pioneers - Tucson Museum of Art dedication
Raised funds to honor Alferez Jose Maria Sosa. Also honored were Antonio Campa Soza, Maria Jesus Moreno de Soza, Antonio Moreno Soza, and Carlos Moreno Soza.

1982 Second Soza Family Reunion - Tucson - 350 attended.
Bishop Manuel D. Moreno, Tucson honored guest.

1990 Third Soza Family Reunion - Tucson - 450 attended.
Family toured Tumacacori Mission and Tubac Presidio.
Dr. James E. Officer guest speaker.

1990 Instituted James E. Officer Award at AHS Conventions in Dr. Officer's honor; to encourage research of Arizona's Spanish, Mexican period history.

1991 AHS Foundation - Phoenix - Marley Center - Tempe
Urged support of Brick Pathway. 1993 Sosa-Carrillo- Fremont Museum - New name for previously named John Charles Fremont House / Casa del Gobernador. Action taken by the Arizona State Historical Society.

1994 Fourth Soza Family Reunion - Tempe - 350 attended.
Highlighted Juan Soza / Maria Jesus Sotelo branch.
Reunion dedicated to Ezekiel Rodriguez Soza.
