To spare the reader from having to use a road map, the writer has arbitrarily used the mother's maiden name to differentiate between various family members with the same christian name.

The Anglo-American custom of inserting the mother's maiden name between the christian name and the surname is used where practical. This style is used, rather than the Spanish custom of appending the mother's maiden name after the father's surname. In many cases the individuals cited herein did not adopt nor use the mother's maiden in their legal name. To help keep lineage lines clear, literary license has been utilized for the sake of clarity.
