Orejana Bull for Cowboys Only
by Gail Gardner
COWBOY, WHISKEY, MUSEUM & CO.
My legs is kinda weary,
And I guess I need a sleep;
My eyes is kinda bleary,
But I sure have saw a heap.
I've heered the Rhamphorynchus,
In a prehistoric zoo,
And I've saw the Cattywaurripus
When his gills was turnin' blue.
I liked the Pterodactyls;
Megalosaurus, too, was fun,
But them patent-leather
Dinosaurs Sure had me on the run.
A pink-eyed ring-tailed Mammoth
Was about to take the place,
Until I up and cussed him out
And kicked him in the face.
Iguanodons and Mastodons
Buzzed around like bees,
And a li'1 Eohippus
Went a-skippin' through the trees.
They tells me there's some others
That I haven't saw as yet,
But I 'lows as how I'll meet 'em
If I keeps my whistle wet.
This prehistoric livestock,
Boy, I'll say was pretty tough,
But them prehistoric cowboys,
They must have had the stuff.
