Many of the drawings and illustrations for this website came from the Joesler/Murphey Collection at the Arizona Architectural Archives. The mission of the Arizona Architectural Archives is to raise awareness of Tucson’s architectural heritage as an integral part of its overall cultural identity. Its goal is to collect, preserve, document and disseminate records pertaining to the architectural development of southern Arizona. The continuing operation of the Arizona Architectural Archives ensures the availability of these cultural records for future generations. The Archives currently operates without state support and relies on donations to maintain its program of public service and scholarly research. The proceeds from Joesler & Murphey book sales help fund the implementation of this mission. The Archives are not open to the public, except by appointment only. For information on, or access to, any of the collections at the Arizona Architectural Archives, contact R. Brooks Jeffery at (520) 621-2991 or rbjeffer@u.arizona.edu.
