This curious little map appears to be a continuation of Coronelli's cartography with the possible influence of Guillaume Delisle's 1703 map Carte du Mexique et de la Floride. Moll shows Casa Grande located approximately correctly. Did Moll have early knowledge of Kino's discoveries?
Herman Moll (d. 1732) was a Dutch cartographer who lived in London ca. 1680. He published numerous maps and atlases; some of his North American maps were used to support British claims in boundary disputes with France after the Spanish Succession, 1702-13.
