The
Evil
Eye

Mini Valenzuela Kaczkurkin

The evil eye
Is a common fact
In Yaqui life.

This evil eye
Can dwell in anyone,
The Young or old.

Sometimes, the one
Possessing the power
Eye Is not aware.

He causes damage
By desiring something
He cannot have.

If humans or food
Or plants are desired
By such a one,

The human gets ill,
The food goes sour,
The plant will die.

Neutralize such power
By touching the object
You admire.
