daughter said that Mrs. Marshall was very helpful to her mother's business. TKM

needed repairs and collected rents. I remember going up on the roof to help him check

Blake house, built in 1892, was still on the comer of Park and Second. In the foreground,
between Fourth and Sixth Streets was still a neighborhood of small homes. On campus,
new brick buildings (BPA and Humanities) had been built across from the Engineering
and Agriculture buildings. The first phase of the Student Union had replaced the 1902
Dining Hall. A great change had taken place on the Polo Field in 1946, (upper right).
The quonset-hut housing for returning war veterans and their families can be seen in the
