These reconstructions of the commanding officer's quarters and separate kitchen quarters in back were built in 1963, and now serve as a branch museum of the Arizona Historical Society. The shutters, canales (gutters), and ocotillo fence are all authentic reproductions based on photographic and some documentary evidence. (For more details of the Fort Lowell years, please see the displays inside the museum.)
