In October 2005, Coyote School News, Joan Sandin's fictional story inspired by Arizona teacher Eulalia Bourne and the collection of "Little Cowpuncher" mimeographed school newspapers, was delivered to all elementary schools in the State. As part of Governor Janet Napolitano's literacy outreach initiative, a copy of the book is being given free to each of the state's 84,000 public school fourth-graders.
